Catching Up...Lots of Pictures

Sorry I haven't posted new pictures for awhile so this is going to be a long picture post.

Wes in Josh's blessing outfit.

Playing in the first snow.

Josh LOVES green peppers. I can barely get dinner made because he always steals them and eats the whole pepper.

Ok here goes a somersault...

Another good bedtime story

Josh is such a character. It was time for bed and after scripture reading and prayers I asked Josh, "who do you want to put you down, Mom or Dad?" Then Ben said, "or do you just want to put yourself to bed?" Josh grabbed his bottle and said, "Josh"(which means Josh will do it). He walked down the hall waving and saying bye Mom. He even blew us kisses. I started to walk after him and he said no and pushed me back toward the living room. So I left him alone for a minute and then went upstairs to check on him. He was in his room rocking himself in the chair drinking his bottle. He didn't want me to rock him just wanted me to turn the light off. I sat in there while he looked at a book. Then I said, "Are you ready to get in your bed?" He said, "Josh" and then tried to climb into his crib. I helped him in and that was that. Our little guy put himself to bed. Being a big brother really makes you grow up.

No No Monster...

It is almost 10 pm. Josh has been in his bed since 9:00. After a few unsuccesfull rockings and reading of stories I am just letting him be. He isn't crying or jumping just talking. Having conversations with himself...and the monsters and dinosaurs that are his friends. This is what I am hearing...

"No no monster, Josh's Daddy."
"Bye baby Wes." (singing rock a bye baby Wes)
"Open eyes baby dinosaur, daddy dinosaur."
"Big boy Josh Papell"

It is so funny. Josh has quite the imagination, and he has starting stringing words together. Cute little guy...go to sleep!

I am loving my Christmas present. Ben surprised me with a nice fancy camera and now my boys are just so much cuter :). Here are some pictures of my blue and brown eyed boys...

Can you hear me?

Things I say at least 10 times a day:

Be soft
Stay by me
Do you want to go to time out?
Don't tip on your chair
I love you
What a good big brother
Big boys go poop in the potty

Ok so I am sure there are more if I paid attention. Sometimes I think maybe Josh really can't hear me, then I say do you want a treat and he magically responds. Today I ventured to the mall. We went to the shoe store and I put a pair of shoes on Josh. He took off running, which was fine except he ran right towards the door. I called after him asking him to turn around and run this way, but he just kept going speeding toward the door. When he crossed into the mall the alarm sounded. He froze in his tracks turned around and ran back to me freaked out. I tried not to laugh cause he was really scared and close to tears. It was funny...I told him that is why you don't run away from your mom.

A Little Brother

means you may have to turn into a monkey to get enough attention.

A little brother in December means being cooped up and longing for parks and playgrounds.

A little brother means lots of sleeping, "open eyes Wes".

A little brother means all things baby suddenly become new toys.

A little brother means lots of kisses and snuggles.

Three Brothers

Can you tell who is who? They all have their own look but I love finding similarities.
