Tantrum Anyone?

If any of you seasoned Moms have advice for me I am open to suggestions. Josh spent most of today throwing all out tantrums. I think it is a combination of teething, hence not enough sleep, not being able to communicate, and really just being frustrated he can't have what he wants all the time. At first it was pretty funny, but by the end of the day I felt like throwing myself on the ground and kicking and screaming too.

Pretty funny this little guy. Our babies have such strong independent souls--wouldn't have it any different. I love my little Joshie!

Florida Buddies!

We spent the weekend in Florida with our friends, the Dewsnups. It was so much fun. Joshua loved the kids and had a blast playing with them. Every time he woke up and saw them he was so excited they were still there. When we got home and walked into our house he started crying and wanted to go right back out the door. He just loves having buddies.
Cute Emma and Josh (his hair went so curly in the humidity. It is wet and gelled in this picture).

There was a lot of wrestling

The boys at Disney World.
Just had to post one of Emma and Cameron. Watching Emma and Hyrum with Josh made me think of Cameron and how much he loved his friends. And what good little buddies they were!

ALLIGATORS!!

We went to see some alligators at this State Park. I tried to get Josh in the picture so you could see how close we were to them. A few of the alligators were right next to the trail. Kinda scary. Josh wanted to walk of course, but we didn't dare to put him down.
And this is the look he had on his face the whole time....very amazed. Then when we left he was thumping his chest like a gorilla. I think he wanted to see the gorillas next.

This alligator was huge (probably 12 ft.) and was missing a back leg.

What a little boy!

Some Florida Fun!

We all went to Disney World together. It was a lot of fun. Josh really loved the rides.

Dumbo's Ride
It's a Small World
Josh looks like he is about to fall asleep. He didn't get much sleep this weekend but he sure had fun.
The little guys sleeping away in Andrea's awesome stroller. (Em--we thought of you a lot holding both of these guys....we just don't know how you do it!)
Growling at the elephants on the Jungle Cruise.
The whole gang (minus Nate taking the picture). Worn out and ready to go home. What a fun day. I was so glad Ben and I weren't there by ourselves. Andrea and Nate knew which rides to take the little ones on and which ones were really busy etc. They made it much more fun!

Our Little Boy

Josh is turning into such a little boy. We call him our little wanderer because he wanders from room to room causing trouble all day. Lately it is hard to get pictures because he wants to "watch". So as soon as he sees the camera he comes rushing over to watch on the screen. He loves to watch the videos of himself. Josh has started throwing tantrums. I remember Cameron doing this when he turned one. I thought it was early, but he grew out of it pretty fast so hopefully Josh will too. Right now it just makes me laugh-which makes him more mad.
Don't you love this shirt. I got it at Wal-Mart for all you other exhausted parents :)

Josh is very sweet about saying prayers. He folds his arm and bows his head. Sometimes he even mumbles in a very sing song sweet voice.

His hair is getting curly. I love it! When he gets out of the tub or up from a nap he has a few curly q's.

Josh LOVES to read. He doesn't have much interest in toys, but he loves books. He will sit down and read all his books on the shelf. He also brings me books throughout the day and sits on my lap so I can read to him. It is funny to watch him pick a book off the shelf. He pulls out a few until he finds the one he wants then he nods his head and giggles.

Josh is getting really good at copying. He has started sticking out his tongue, winking (with both eyes), and whistling like the birds (no sound yet but usually some spit). He loves dogs and barks whenever we see one. But all other animals growl....ducks, squirrels, etc.
