Ben is in Philadelphia for a business competition. When Josh woke up he wanted to know where Dad was and I told him. He said with a grin, "What a silly place."

Just want to eat him up
Weston is such a cute little guy, as Josh would say. He just has the most kissable cheeks. Lately he has been snuggly and giving the best hugs. He loves stuffed animals and will pick up his bear and hug it then give it a kiss. Very sweet. That being said he is WILD. He is by far my worst climber. Anything he finds he scales and he's fast too. The other day I was getting Josh dressed. I heard Wes making nose in the kitchen and turned to look in that direction. I saw his head poking up higher than normal. He had pulled the oven door out and was standing on the edge reaching onto the stove (which was off-thank goodness) trying to get a pan. Today he climbed on top of his little bike and was standing on the seat and then took his hands off the handle bars and raised them up above his head. While I take a shower he either empties every drawer in the bathroom, or if I leave him downstairs he eats dirt from the plant and climbs onto the table. He climbs out of the grocery cart buckles and all. I seriously feel like I can't take my eyes off him for a second. But who'd really want to, what a cutie!

This is my favorite hat, and I love seeing pictures of all three of them...about the same age.

Calling All Superheroes!
I decided to do a party for Josh. I made masks and capes for all the superheroes, who had to practice their powers in order to save the party from the bad villian. I made an obstacle course upstairs, they passed the cryptonite to Batman music, hit the target with balloon, and threw the beanbags. Then the bad villain left a bag of "bombs" (balloons) on our doorstep which had to be popped before they exploded. It turned out great, and was actually very low stress and simple despite having 9 kids at my house 10 days after having surgery. And of course I didn't get very many picrures.

More Birthday
Josh's birthday has stretched all week. I was going to do a friend party for him on his birthday but the week before ended up getting my appendix out. I didn't feel up to having nine kiddos at my house yet so we went to the pirate restaurant and postponed his party. Both boys had a blast at the pirate restaurant. And loved having so much time with Daddy.

Happy Birthday Josh!

I cannot believe Josh is three today. We will have to work on his full name, since he has been introducing himself the last year as Josh Capell Two (two years old). Josh is a joy to have around. He is a very imaginative boy with stories galore. I am constantly amazed but what he learns and knows. When he wants to he listens and absorbs everything. He loves animals and is very curious about the world around him and why and how things work. He is a good big brother and loves Wes so much. He tells him on a daily basis, "Wes I love you so much. Wes you are so cute." He is also all boy and sometimes the hugs he gives Wes resemble more a wrestling move. Oh well, Wes might be bigger than him soon so the tables will turn. Josh has no fear of new situations or dangerous stunts. He is a very friendly boy and introduces himself to new kids on the playground. He calls everyone he sees or meets his friend. He also comes up with dangerous things to do and scare his mom all the time. He got a slide for his birthday and within minutes of playing with it decided it would be fun to stand on the top and jump to the bottom. He also moves it close to the couch and jumps from the top to the couch. I am afraid he is going to embrace extreme sports and take after his Mittanck uncles. We love Josh and are so glad he came to our family. I remember the day he was born I was grieving for Cameron still and so scared and anxious for this new baby to come to our family. Josh helped my heart to heal and I am so grateful he came to our family at such a tumultous time to bring hope and light back into our lives. He continues to be a light in our family. We love our Joshers.
