More Baby

Today I took Josh to the doctor with me. He was good but restless strapped into his stroller. The doctor did an ultrasound and then she pulled out the doppler to listen to the heartbeat. I love hearing the heartbeat. I told Josh to listen, and that it was the baby's heartbeat. He became still and serious as he heard the heartbeat. He put his finger to his mouth and said "shhh". Then when the doctor was done he said "More. More baby." The doctor got a page and so was in a bit of a rush. Josh continued to say "more baby" as we left. It was very cute, and makes me want to take him to all of my appointments.

No Daddy No!

Ben usually works from home, but today he had meetings and was gone. He came home at 3:30 to finish working. Josh of course got some rough and tumble playtime. Then Ben said, "OK I really have to get to work." Ben took his computer and went upstairs. When Josh realized Ben was done playing he ran after him, saying, "No Daddy No." He followed him all the way upstairs saying "No Daddy No." He turned around to me and said, "bye bye Mom" and blew me a kiss. Cracked us both up. I think it was the nonchalant matter of fact way he was saying, no daddy no. Josh sure does love his Dad.

Pumpkin Patch

I have been in such a sour mood lately. I could list all my complaints and we could have a little pity party, but I won't. Today I feel much better. Josh and I went to a pumpkin patch and had a blast. It was exactly what I needed...some beautiful fall air and a chance to run around with my cute little guy. I love watching him have the time of his life, which happens at least every day. I wish I had a picture of this giant slide that you go down on carpet squares. Josh had to do it all by himself. He told me at the top "Josh", which translates to Josh do it by himself. Then he would sit down and fly down the slide. You could barely see his blonde hair above the hay bales. He would get to the bottom, stand up, pick up his carpet square and say "more". Then, of course all by himself, hike back up to the top of the slide. Everybody was pretty enthralled with this tiny independant little guy flying over and over down the slide. I know every mother is biased, but my boys are just too cute. Playing in the Rain

I haven't posted for awhile so I am going to back up and post some older stuff. We got a lot of rain with tropical storm Hanna a few weeks back. When it first started pouring, Josh loved playing in it. And later Ben didn't. After our basement flooded Ben was outside trying to keep the water moving away from our house. I was laughing so hard that I couldn't even help him. He was soaked in about 3 seconds. I wanted to take a picture but I was already in trouble for laughing and not helping very much.

Josh is into saying bye to everything. "bye-bye bubble, bye-bye bus, bye-bye guys, bye-bye ball,..."

Another rainstorm on Sunday. The sun was shining as the rain poured down. Josh loves playing in the rain.

Photo Shoot

We had pictures taken while we were in Utah. My brother's girlfriend, Ali was the photographer. They turned out pretty cute.

Too bad Josh would only make monkey faces, so this is about as good as it gets.

Utah Trip-- Part 3

Hogle Zoo

The last time we went to Hogle Zoo was with Cameron. It was fun to take Josh. He loves to see the animals. Most of our family came, and it was fun to all be together.

Park City

We went up to Park City a few times while we were in Utah, twice with Ben's family, and once for our anniversary. It was so green and gorgeous up in the mountains. We took a ski lift up the mountain. Something I would not recommend for active toddlers. It was pretty scary trying to keep Josh on our laps. But we made it and the views were breathtaking. I miss those Utah mountains.

Utah Trip--Part 2

August 16th Cameron's Day

We went with our families to Cameron's grave. We have made it kind of a tradition to let balloons go "high to the moon" on this date and his Birthday. Josh loves it. It was nice to be there, always a little hard but nice.

Another tradition we started is to go to a baseball game the 16th. Cameron loved baseball and this is something fun we can all do together that celebrates his wonderful life.
