Past Due

Still no baby and it has been way too long since I posted pictures of cute Josh. The reason why is because he no longer will let me take his picture. As soon as he sees the camera he wants to watch himself on it. So getting a good picture recently has been hard. I tried to upload a video so you could understand but blogger is having issues...I'll try again later. For now here are a few pics...

He loved sitting in Santa's seat but once Santa came he was freaked out. I don't even have a picture because he wouldn't let go of Ben to get near him. Josh loves to hide and sometimes I really can't find him. The other day he discovered it was fun to climb into his toybox. Today he climbed into the cupboard and shut the door. I really didn't know where he was until he started calling, "josh". He isn't afraid of the dark, so he will go upstairs, downstairs, in closets and hide pretty quietly for at least a few minutes while I really search for him. Funny kid!

Rocking Out

Josh has been watching a video on Phil and Jenny's blog of cousin Bodie playing his guitar and singing. He watches it at least once a day over and over again. He loves guitars. So I found this one at Target the other day and decided to buy it for him. He has been quite entertaining dancing and playing it around the house. The first couple of mornings after we bought it he would wake up saying guitar and want to rush downstairs to find it. Pretty cute!

Thank You

I just wanted to say THANK YOU to all of our wonderful friends and family. Cameron's birthday was a wonderful day. I felt such peace and happiness throughout the day. Thanks to so many for praying for, thinking of us, and letting balloons go "high to the moon". I think the biggest fear for parents who have lost a child is that their child will be forgotten. Yesterday was a reminder that Cameron's influence has been and continues to be far reaching. He will never be forgotten and continues to teach us how to love.

Ben came home Saturday night with these beautiful tulips. Very sweet and sentimental. I planted bulbs the fall after Cameron died and then in the spring they bloomed. Our neighbors have said how nice it is when they come up again and remind them of us and Cameron. It just seems symbolic.....for a season in the cold ground but then to bloom in the sunshine of Spring.

Eating Cameron's favorite...animal crackers and opening a favorite book of Cameron's sent by Yama.

Cameron's baseball cake.

Josh holding all the balloons. (this is just a preview picture...I am going to post a slideshow of more pics soon.)

Happy Birthday Cameron!

Happy Birthday Cameron
written by Grandma Rainey

Our precious little Cameron
Oh, how we love you so.

Your grin was sent from heaven
And your eyes just seemed to glow,

With knowledge of a deeper love,
One, we had yet to know.

We loved each day you spent on earth,
Filled with kisses, and a hurried touch,

That warmed our very soul.
Our memories are filled with much,
Like, balls and bats and small red shoes,
"Swinging to the Moon" and such. You learned it all with record speed,
Your quest, it knew no bounds.

You taught us all to live with love,
To grasp each new day found.

To become better, more humble souls,
That our Fathers love may abound. We love you Buddy! 4 years old!

High to the Moon

Cameron's birthday is next Sunday, the 26th. I thought it would be neat to have friends and family wherever they may be let balloons go "high to the moon" on his birthday. Take a picture and email it to me. I saw this on somebody else's blog and it was really neat to see all the different pictures. I already have started a tradition of letting balloons go on Cameron's birthday, but thought it would be fun to invite all to join in since we are far from family this year. So if you feel so inclined join in....Thanks and loves to you all. We couldn't ask for better friends and family!
