Packing and Unpacking
So we are finally here in Washington D.C. Ben and I drove our Pilot pulling a trailor of our stuff across the country. It went very slowly and very smoothly. Josh had fun with Grandmas. Thankfully he also did well on the plane. He was trying to pull out our neighbor's earplugs the whole time and throwing his toys all over the plane, but people still liked him. I think he is learning to use his beautiful eyes to his advantage. It was hard to leave Utah and our families, but it feels nice to be over the stress of moving.

Merry Christmas
I can't believe Christmas has already come and gone. We had our hard moments, but it sure was fun to watch it all through Josh's eyes. He sure took it all in. I think he is making the same serious face in all the pictures...just so much to absorb.

Melancholy Night
Ben is out of town and I was at my Mom's house. I left to get Josh home for bed, and he fell asleep in the car. It was snowing. The beautiful kind--slow and silent and soon everything was coated with a powdery dust. I put in a new CD and this song came on (Sarah McLaughlin's Wintersong). I haven't listened to it since last Christmas, and if you stay on this page long enough to hear the whole song you will understand why it made me sad. I also happened to be driving past the cemetary.
I have about a thousand pictures of Cameron, but always wishing I had more. I can see so perfectly him raising his arms to the sky and spinning in the snow. Wish I had a picture. Ok, so maybe just wishing I had him...
I am trying to enjoy Christmas. I know I should. Truly Christmas is about Christ and the hope and peace He brought into this world. I know all this, but I have just been having a hard time feeling very spiritual admist all the chaos and commercialism. I just miss my little guy so painfully.
Sorry for the sad post, probably should have used my journal...

Being Silly
I am not sure why sometimes the most fun and entertaining toys aren't toys at all, but I sure do love the laundry basket. It also makes a great walker. Just can't resist those smiley eyes.
