Bedtime Story

Tonight Josh told me a bedtime story that must be recorded, mostly because we hear these all the time lately. He has an extraordinary imagination.

Once upon a time there was a boy named Alex. He was going camping in his backyard. He didn't know how to make a fire so he said a prayer and asked Jesus to help him. Then Jesus came down out of heaven to help him make a fire. He got some sticks and pushed the button and made the fire. Alex didn't have any marshmellows, and his mom said we do have marshmellows. So Alex went inside to get the marshmellows. Somebody knocked on his door and he opened the door. It was a mean Teradactyl. He came flying into his house. Alex was scared and ran to his mom. His mom held him and they ran outside to the car and got in the car. They were driving fast, but a police man didn't pull them over. And then a teradactyl police man driving in a police car pulled them over...

I can't remember what happened next. Eventually Captain Hook made his way into the story and then I abruptly ended it cause it is BEDTIME and I am tired. But too cute and pretty amazing story for my two year old (almost 3).

My blue eyed baby

So he's not really a baby anymore, at least he doesn't think so, but he sure is cute!

Two for One

In case they both need to be carried at once...What happens when we have another one? (no I am not announcing anything):)

Super J Man

We've been seeing a lot of this superhero lately. He always "saves the day"!

Weston and his Bike

Wes loves his new bike and now he can ride just like Josh. Josh is pretty good about pushing him around in the house. We've only had a few rollovers...

and you will start to notice the cheeser Josh gives in every picture. I guess it's a new stage - at least he smiles for the camera.

Christmas Traditions

Christmas was very nice this year. We were glad to be close and not have to travel. We are so blessed and thankful this time of year. Christmas Eve we went iceskating with my family. Josh did really well with the skates and figured out the most fun was getting Pete to pull him around really fast.
this picture taken through the glass so not the greatest, but I LOVE Josh's face. He was pretty excited.
the whole gang
Wes wanted to get out there so bad so I took him on the ice with just his shoes. He loved it and didn't want to come off.
After iceskating and naps we went to Ben's family Christmas Eve party. It is a big group and fun to see everyone. Then the most fun of all is...Santa comes. Josh has been so excited for Santa this year, talking about it nonstop.

Josh was so thrilled when Santa gave him just what he asked for....a DRAGON!

Wes wasn't a fan of Santa
It was so cute to see the kids in awe of Santa and his message to go home and go straight to bed.

Christmas Morning!

Dinner Conversations

Josh has said a few more funnies I want to document.

Yesterday I was making dinner. Josh asked what I was making and then said, "oooh I don't like that." He then went over to the fridge, opened it and in a very matter of fact voice said, "Mom do we have any pizza?"
(when he couldn't find pizza he grabbed the bag of carrots and took them to munch in the living room- guess I can't complain about that.)

Today Josh was eating his dinner and I asked him if it was good. He said "Mom it's fantastic." I had no idea he knew this word. I don't say it...who knows where he learned it.

Josh was eating lunch. He looked at his plate realizing it was pink. He looked up at me with a look of disgust and said, "Wait a minute. This is a girl plate." I do know where he learned this...cute cousin Bodie. :)
